DMT-NATCONICS UNAT Token Deployment
Deployment Date: TBA
Deployment ID: TBA
Framework
A Bitcoin block is the fundamental base for the collective proof-of-work energy exchanged between human input and computational processes in form of transactions. To integrate a new class of digital value, Natconics uses the rich fields of information contained in every block to personify a character: Natconics block:icons.
Every single unique Natconics block:icon is formed through multiple traits whose combination is determined by non-arbitrary data patterns found in the associated block.
More specifically, Natconics consists of 3 core elements:
…the current Zeitgeist of streetwear culture and the Ordinals community integrated through the creative visual language
…recursion techniques to guarantee the preservation of HD-quality across 258 distinct, hand-drawn traits.
… meaningful pattern functions applied to multiple different fields of Bitcoin blockchain information that inform our deterministic generative art algorithm
Our resulting script and traits are inscribed immutably on Bitcoin to jointly form a fully on-chain legacy that autonomously evolves.
Dynamic Supply Rarity
Natconics’ supply rarity is dynamic. Whenever the pattern “3b” occurs in the hexadecimal bits field of Bitcoin's block data our fully on-chain living legacy generates a new supply of Natconics block:icons. At the time of writing, the following block ranges contain the pattern “3b” and determine the genesis supply of Natconics:
Period 1: 42336-44351
Period 2: 122976-124991
Period 3: 622944-624959
Period 4: 828576-830589
Each period resulted in 2016 Natconics due to the correlation between Bitcoin's bits field and mining difficulty, which undergoes adjustment every 2016 blocks. Currently, Natconics block:icons can only be found on 8,064 blocks out of more than 835,000 existing blocks. A valid Natconic block:icon can only ever be claimed once per block. At any given time, only one owner can hold the Natconics block:icon of any given block.
By design, it is not possible to predict if or when the pattern “3b” will occur in the hexadecimal bits field again to generate the next Natconics block:icons. New Natconics block:icons could be created tomorrow or never or anything in between.
On the 2nd of March 2024, all currently existing Natconics block:icons were claimed within 6 hours of the DMT-Natconics deployment.
Dynamic Trait Rarity
Natconics’ trait architecture is not only built on a singular information field like blockheight, but additionally includes: (1) date and (2) time the block was mined, (3) the nonce, (4) the total amount of transactions that took place, (5) the total transaction fees, (6) the block subsidy and (7) the block size. Much like Bitmaps, the appearance and rarity of Natconic block:icons are characterized by a multitude of underlying block attributes.
Natconics’ primal pattern functions and -names draw inspiration from and give tribute to the Ordinal Theory by Casey Rodarmor, Rare Sats, Bitmap Theory by Bitoshi Blockamoto and Digital Matter Theory by The Blockrunners. They include various ordinal numbers, special numbers, palindromic numbers, blocktributes as well as numbers symbolic to streetwear and hip-hop.
The following table provides an overview for the Natconics trait architecture, which will be described in more detail in subsequent sections:
Currently there are 6 traits that are unreleased. Future legacy generations hold the potential to include unreleased traits.
